Similarly, we want to offer affordable, workable, real-world solutions to the energy crises and environmental concerns we find ourselves in. In this spirit, we developed the Mag-Wind Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (Or VAWT). The Mag-Wind is an affordable, sensible, real-world solution to our current energy crises. This modern windmill is capable of producing 5 kilowatts of power or more at modest wind speeds, and is capable of far more with increased wind speeds.

The Mag-Wind can be placed on top of an urban home and will benefit additionally from the slope and vertical rise of the roof. Besides the most obviously variable, wind, the two major components in determining how much energy can be generated by the Mag-Wind are the vertical rise of the roof and the angle at which the roof slopes upward.

The vertical rise of the roof can increase how much wind actually hits the roof and guides the wind towards the machine. The steepness of the roof determines how much wind is wasted on pressure against the rooftop. Nevertheless, a 10% vertical rise in the roof and 30% pitch will provide nearly 200% more energy.
